Winter fun at Ramsi's

Attenion skiers! Immediately opposite Ramsi's Natur-Erlebniswelt is Carinthia's biggest ski area, the Nassfeld ski arena, one of Austria's top 10 ski areas, with 30 modern lifts and more than 100 km of runs.

Quick sticks! 5 mins (3 km) in the free shuttle ski bus (every hour 9.00 a.m - 5.00 p.m.) or your own car takes you to the Millennium Express valley station and up to the Carnia valley run (7.2 km).

Slide! 3,000 m2 snow-covered Ramsi's ski school immediately outside the hotel door for little snow monsters aged 2,5 to 6.

Ski service! The Millennium Express valley station has everything skiers' little hearts could desire - ski school office, ski and boot/sports equipment storage (heated and serviced -"no more lugging your gear" ; ask about our "Hitwochen" promotions, when ski and boot storage is free), cafés and a specialist sports shop.

The 2nd mid-way station, Treßdorfer Alm, is where the BOBO children's ski lesson/adult group lessons meet, and where you'll find the practice and novice slopes, the day crèche (BOBO Mini Club), the ski school office, another ski/boot store, and restaurants too.

Snowboarders will find a great fun area with border-cross fun park and twinpipe at Nassfeld.

Ski pass! It's easy to obtain your ski passes from us at the hotel without any stress. The key card "automatically" opens the turnstile (hands-free).

Toboggan! The fun family toboggan race with glühwein tasting at the hotel is very popular with our guests.

Cross-country skiing! Protect your joints, strengthen your muscles, keep young. Leave your tracks along more than 100 km of cross-country trails along the Gail river or the attractively situated high-level trail in the Nassfeld ski area.

Attention skaters! The Presseggersee and the renowned Weissensee natural ice rinks (20 km away), the Alps' biggest natural ice rinks, are packed with icy thrills for figure skaters and racers.

A ramble through the snow-covered forest , an enjoyable hut party or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride also go to make up an unforgettable winter holiday.

By the way, did you know how much the sun shines on the south side of the Alps?
